Allen Michael Giles, Sr. June 4, 1947 – September 16, 2018 Homosassa, FL – Allen M. Giles, Sr., age 71, transitioned peacefully to his permanent home in heaven on Sunday, September 16, 2018. Allen was originally from Egg Harbor, NJ. He was an alumni of Oakcrest High School class of 1966.

A consummate patriot, he proudly served his country for 8 years as part of the United States Navy. He loved watching his Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies in action. He was an active golfer and loved riding his Harley.

He loved living life. Allen’s love for his family was his number one passion. Family ALWAYS came first.

Allen’s sons and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was proud of the men his sons became. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye.

Even after moving to Florida, Allen continued to make trips up to NJ as frequently as possible to watch various activities his grandchildren are involved in. The night his daughter-in-law went into labor with his youngest grandson, Allen drove all night (over 18 hours) to meet his new grandson. Allen’s love for his family is his greatest legacy.

His children and grandchildren will honor his memory by ensuring his legacy of love and family continues. Allen is survived by his wife, Linda; his son, Allen Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Melanie; his son, George; his daughter-in-law, Astrid; his grandchildren, Brandon, Kaela, Gavin and Matthew; his brother, Herb; his sister, Carol and numerous other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the American Heart Association www.
