Carlthon L. Broughton “Bullet” Age: 62 Perth Amboy Carlthon L. “Bullet” Broughton, 62 of Perth Amboy, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at John F. Kennedy Medical Center, Edison after a brief battle cancer with his family by his side. Carl was born in Bainbridge, Georgia and moved with his family to Morristown before moving to Perth Amboy 27 years ago. He was employed by Spex Certi Prep, Metuchen as an Assembler and later on as the Supervisor for over 30 years.

He retired in 2014. Carl was an avid New York Giants fan and loved building and playing bass guitars and maintaining saltwater coral reef tanks. He had a great sense of humor and always had a good joke.

Carl had a warm giving heart and would always go that extra mile for all. He is preceded in death by his father Claude Broughton; brothers of Samuel, Tommie Broughton,and sisters Claudine Hodges and Anna “Lois” Montanez. He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years Christine Patten; beloved father of Jessica, Tanya and Chase Broughton; loving son of Bertha ( nee Howard ) Broughton; adored grandfather of Cameron, Tyler and Sean Ambrose – Broughton; cherished uncle of many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 5:30 pm at the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy. Interment will be private. Visiting is on Saturday from 2 ~ 6 pm.
