Carmen Esther Gonzalez ( nee Perez ), 84 of Perth Amboy, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at RaritanBay Medical Center, Perth Amboy with her family by her side. Carmen was born and raised in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and came to Perth Amboy 55 years ago. She was a homemaker and loved spending time her family and friends.

She was a Parishioner of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish at La Asuncion Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Angel Luis Perez and Mercedes Figueroa. Carmen is survived by her beloved children Eileen and her husband Ernesto Guzman, Naidal and her husband Daniel Medina, Maria Marquez, Reinaldo and his wife Iris Saez, Edgardo Saez and Luis Benitez; loving sister of Milagros and Guela Gonzalez; adored grandmother of 16 and great ~ grandmother of 22; cherished aunt of many nieces, nephews and cousins.

We begin to leave at 10:45 am on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy for a funeral Mass at 11 am at the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish at Holy Trinity Church. Interment will follow at Alpine Cemetery. Visiting is on Wednesday from 8:30 am ~ 10:30 am.
