Rose (nee Maskall) Di Forti’s struggle with Alzheimer’s ended on November 13, 2018. Rose was born in Perth Amboy and spent the majority of her life as a resident of the City attending its public school system. Upon her marriage to her beloved late husband Vincent Di Forti she settled into the life of a homemaker for 57 years.

She and her husband raised five children together. Once their children were grown they enjoyed traveling around the United States together. Rose enjoyed Major League Baseball, especially the Mets and could recite the stats of many of its players.

She also found pleasure in gardening, and truly had a ” green thumb”. Rose was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church of Perth Amboy. Rose is predeceased by her loving husband Vincent J. Di Forti Sr.; loving mother of Kathleen and Vincent J. Di Forti Jr.; daughter of Albert and Mary ( nee Berish ) Maskall; dear sister of Albert, Steven Maskall and Margaret Iorillo.

She is survived by her beloved daughters Deborah and husband Edward Gandy, Denise and Annette Di Forti; dear sister of Helen Bryzdowski and Susan Neves; adored grandmother of Danielle and her husband Herbert Glass, Gina Di Forti and her husband Andrew Jacobs; cherished great ~ grandmother of Austin, Sabrina and Jason Glass. A Panachida Service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 9:15 am at the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy for the Divine Liturgy at 10 am at the St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.

Visiting is on Sunday from 2 ~ 6 pm with a Parastas Service at 5:30 pm.
