Tomasita “Lola” D. Gonzalez ( nee Yili ), 89 of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, formally of Perth Amboy, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center, Ft. Walton Beach Florida with her family by her side.

Lola was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, and came to Perth Amboy in 1947 and has spent the last 6 years in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She was employed by PRAHD, Perth Amboy for 21 years as a Social Worker. She retired in 1995.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church. She loved spending time with her family, friends, dancing, and singing, especially the “Boleros” and playing music. She is preceded in death by her loving daughter Neldis Maldonado and her parents Jose Yili and Juanita de Jesus.

; dear sister of Ana Maria Toledo and Maria Isabel Yili. She is survived by her husband Pedro Gonzalez; beloved mother of Diane Maldonado, Wanda and her husband Jesus Crespo, Jazzy and her husband Hector Fernandez, Mary “Cuquita” and her husband Nelson Rivera, Doris “Lilly” and her husband Pedro Roig and Denise and her husband Edwin Miranda; dear sister of Naomi Rodriguez and Delia Yili; adored grandmother of 21, great ~ grandmother of 35 and a great ~ great ~ grandmother; cherished aunt of many nieces, nephews and cousins. We begin to leave on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 9:15 am from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy for a funeral mass at 10 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church.

Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visiting is on Wednesday from 2 ~ 4 & 7 ~ 9 pm.
