Morris-Dorthia “Tootsie” Knickerbocker, 93, passed away on June 26, 2018 at Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Dorthia was born in Oneonta, NY the daughter of William Gaughan and Delilah Joy. She married the love of her life Milton “Bud” Knickerbocker on October 2, 1943 in Garrattsville, NY, a marriage of 70 years.

Tootsie was a life-long resident of Morris until 5 years ago when she moved to The Plains in Oneonta, NY. She worked for H.W. Naylor Company for many years, was an active member… Read More » of the community of Morris and a member of the United Methodist Church of Morris since 1946. Tootsie is survived by her daughter, Peggy Brown, son in law Craig; her grandsons’ Scott Brown, Douglas (Niccole) Brown; great granddaughters Logann Brown and Lorann Brown and her sister Loretta Steward.

She was predeceased by her twin brother Donald Gaughan and her sister Lorena Bowers. Calling hours will be held at the Johnston Funeral Home on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Burial will take place at the Hillington Cemetery at 10:00AM Monday, July 2, 2018.
