Douglas O’Neil Covington, age 35, of Danville, VA, died on Friday, June 15, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Danville, VA, on January 15, 1983, a son of Douglas Wayne Covington and Anna Robertson Wood. He lived most of his life in Danville.

In addition to his parents, Douglas is survived by sisters Vickie Covington and Lisa Covington; step-father, Ronald Wood; step-sister, Kristen Moran; step-brother, Joshua Wood; uncles, Archie Covington and Richard Robertson; aunt, Lois Kendrick; cousins, Jessica Covington, Christopher Kendrick, and Shawn Kendrick; nieces and nephews, Angel Covington, JoAnna Garnett, Marcus Fitzgerald, Destiny Fitzgerald, Trevor Barnes, Darnell Barnes, Ryan Barnes, and Michael Fitzgerald. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Douglas and Pearline Covington; and maternal grandparents, Ronald and Gladys Robertson. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Rev.

Kevin Kernodle officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of his mother, 281 Cedar Ridge Road, Dry Fork, VA.

Interment will follow in the Hubbard Family Cemetery, in Keeling, VA. Swicegood Funeral Service is respectfully serving the Covington family. A message to Douglas from your family and friends “May you rest in peace”.
