Drurey E. “Dru” Sherwood, 78, of Elyria passed away Tuesday April 17, 2018 at UH Elyria Medical Center following a sudden illness. He was born October 25, 1939 in Cleveland and has been an Elyria resident since 1976. Dru was employed in the service department of Service America Vending Company, enjoyed fishing and was an avid Cleveland Indians Baseball fan.

Survivors include his sons, David and James Sherwood; 3 grandchildren; brother, Harold Sherwood. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.

(at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday April 25, 2018 in the funeral home.

The Rev. Dr. Peter Mealwitz, pastor emeritus of Grace Lutheran Church will Officiate. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery, Hinckley.
