Dwight E. Kirk, 93, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 9:12 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at his home. He was born in Logan County, Ohio on December 16, 1924, a son of the late Carl Calvin and Ethel (Langstaff) Kirk. On February 16, 1946, Dwight married the former Martha Jean Ansley, and she survives along with their two children, William Jeffrey (Debra) Kirk and Kathy (Bill) Shepherd; two grandchildren, Aaron (Amber) Kirk and Tara (Trevor) Hollingsworth; and a great granddaughter, Autumn Kirk.

A U.S. Army WWII veteran, Dwight had worked as a civilian and retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Indian Lake Community Church in Russells Point and American Legion Blue Jacket Post #599 in Zanesfield. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine.

Pastors Jim Ellington and Karen Blackburn will officiate a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Zanesfield Cemetery in Zanesfield, Ohio with military rites by the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard. Funeral arrangements are in care of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
