Obituary for Edgar Jimenez Dateline: Garden City, Kansas Edgar Jimenez Edgar Jimenez, 42, of Garden City, Kansas died Sunday December 16, 2018 in Ulysses Kansas. He was born November 18, 1976 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, the son of Santos Jimenez Perez & Marina Contreras De La Mora. Edgar was born and raised in Mexico, completing High School there before moving to the United States in 2002.

He met and married Francisca Devora in Garden City in 2005. She survives. He was a hard worker, beloved husband, esteemed friend, and doting father.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and believed his children should share in his faith by making sure they received a good Catholic education at St. Mary Catholic School. He enjoyed spending time with them and cooked breakfast for them daily. They were his world.

In addition to his wife Francisca Devora Jimenez and sons; Andru & Sebastian Jimenez, of the home, he is survived by his Parents- Marina Contreras De La Mora & Santos Jimenez Perez; Siblings- Noel Jimenez Contreras, Marina Jimenez Contreras, Fatima Jimenez Contreras, Guillermo Arambula & Gustavo Jimenez Contreras; & numerous In-Laws, Nieces, Nephews and extended family. A Rosary Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday December 20, 2018 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 pm Friday December 21, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Juan Salas as celebrant.

Burial will take place at a later date. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday December 20, 2018 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. Family suggests memorials to the Jimenez Children Education Fund.
