Edith Mae Wall Rush, 99, of Asheboro, died Sunday, May 26, 2019 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Rev.

Darrell Rabon will be officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born in Randolph County, NC, March 22, 1920, Edith was the daughter of the late William O. Wall and Martha Alice Miller Wall.

She was retired from Blue Bell Manufacturing. She was a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother and a traditional southern woman.

She enjoyed watching NASCAR, golf, and the Spectrum Channel “Weather on the 1’s”. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Dock W. Rush; sister Ethel Sumner; and her feline companion “Miss Abby”. Surviving are her daughters, Shirley D. Hammer and husband Wayne of Asheboro, Nancy King and husband Howard of Lexington; son, Jerry A. Rush of Ramseur; grandchildren, Tammy Nelson and husband Ron, of Cleveland, Ohio, Roslyn Myers and husband Terry of Lexington, Greg Rush of Asheboro, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
