Edward E. “Ed” Loscar, 84, of Washington Township passed away on Monday December 17, 2018 in QLS- West Haven Manor, Apollo. Born on March 30, 1934 in Pittsburgh he was a son of the late Martin and Lucille (Schramm) Loscar. Ed served our county with the US Army during the Korean War and had lived in Washington Township since 1965.

He was employed as a mechanic for Bud Shannon Auto in Parks Township for many years until his retirement in 1995. Ed was co-owner and operator… Read More » of Pine Run Auto Repair with his two sons, Ed, Jr. and Ken for several years. After retiring he worked part-time for A&G Auto Parts in Kiski Township for several years.

Ed enjoyed playing on his CB radio, his call sign was, “Evil Knievel” and building computers. He loved his dogs, Benji and Star. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angel Loscar; five brothers and two sisters.

Ed is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen J. (Birch) Loscar of Washington Township; children, Cindy Loscar of Fairhaven, Michigan; Cheryl Loscar of Washington Township; Edward (Roberta) Loscar, Jr. of Ebensburg; Ken (Michelle) Loscar of Kiski Township; five grandchildren, Stephanie Yarup, Sherry Nadolny, Marsha Loscar, Amanda Loscar, Joshua Loscar; great granddaughter, Arayna J. Nadolny; sister, Marge Siatkowsky of North Hills; and numerous nieces and nephews. At Ed’s request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 100 Owens View Ave. Apollo, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ed’s memory to the Kiski valley Cat & Kitten Rescue P.O. Box 19, Apollo, PA 15613.
