Edward J. Darling, age 63, of Gloversville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at his residence. He was born on October 25, 1955, in Gloversville, a son of the late Edward Clinton Darling and Deloris Gardenia VanHoesen Darling. Edward was a graduate of Gloversville High School.

He was employed for many years as a truck driver for Gates Mills in Johnstown and later at Kingsboro Lumber in Gloversville. Ed enjoyed cars either modeling or going to car shows. He was also a big Yankees fan.

He is survived by his brother, Richard Darling (Carrie) of Santa Maria, California; daughter, Jessica (Ronald) Forjone of Caroga Lake; son, Fred (Laura) Rulison of Sera Vista, Arizona; four grandchildren, Brock Forjone, Haylea Rulison, Katelynn Plummer and Tori Rulison; and three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by his wife, Barbara J. Sartin Darling, whom he married on March 22, 1981, and who passed on May 17, 2012; and brother, Terry Darling in 2016. There will be no calling hours or funeral services.

Private interment will be in Fern Dale Cemetery, Johnstown in the spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown. Condolences to the family may be made online by visiting our website at www.
