Edward Ray Wall 3 July 1925 – 10 February 2019 Ed passed away on February 10, 2019. He was 93 years old. He was born in Logan, Utah on July 3, 1925.

He is the son of John Edward Wall and Ada Ray. He married his sweetheart N. Jean Mortensen on October 8, 1948 in Logan, Utah. He grew up in Logan Utah.

Later lived in Smithfield, UT, and raised his family in Ogden, UT. Ed was inducted into the Army 27 Nov 1943. He served in France under General Patton during the Battle of the Bulge.

His feet were frozen and he was evacuated to the rear. The rest of his time in France he served at the Air Corps base in Villa Coublay, France. He earned the combat infantry badge and sharpshooter medal.

Ed participated in the Utah Honor Flight to Washington DC prior to his passing. Ed retired from Hill Air Force Base and had his own business, Ogden Electronics, in which he did work for many people; many times, not taking a dime. He worked hard at all he did.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings, including ward clerk for many years and as a scout master. He served in the Ogden Temple with his wife Jean.

Ed was a “Jack of all trades”, he could build and fix anything. He passed on this talent to his children, who all think they can build anything. He was an inventor.

Ed and Jean enjoyed ballroom and square dancing, their dinner groups, riding in Bob and Virginia’s Model T and camping in Logan Canyon. He is survived by 3 sisters, Ruth, Iva and Ada Mae and 2 brothers, Ray and IVon; by his children, Kathleen (Floyd) LaFleur of Plain City UT, Kenton (Mitzi) Wall of Farr West UT, Ruby Ann Wall of Harrisville UT, Susan (Eldon) Davis of West Warren UT, JoLynn (Bob) Dickamore of Hooper UT, David (DeAnn) of Herriman UT, and Steve (Christy) Wall of Hooper UT; also 34 grandchildren and 89 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean and grandson, Phillip Ray Wall.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Mount Lewis 1st Ward, 435 No. Jackson Avenue, Ogden. A viewing will be held Thursday, February 14th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church and Friday prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd.
