She was born in Papaaloa, Hawaii and was a retired clerical worker. She was a member of the Taishoji Soto Mission in Hilo.

She is survived by brother, Masato (Yukiko) Masaki of Hilo; sister, Eleanor Sachiko Kokubun of Honolulu; sister-in-law, Hisae Masaki of Hilo; a nephew, a niece and numerous cousins.
