Eileen Michelle Evans Leatherow passed away peacefully on October 13, 2018 at the age of 49, after a courageous and valiant battle with breast cancer. She was born on July 16, 1969 to Douglas E. and Paulina Kersbergen Evans in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1987; she later continued her education and obtained a Nursing Degree from Weber State University.

Eileen worked 16 years for Kier Management Corporation. She worked the last 11 years as a nurse both at McKay Dee Hospital and at Utah Hematology and Oncology. Eileen took great pride in her nursing career and she loved both those she worked with and the patients she cared for.

As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she served diligently as a Ward Organist for 26 years. Eileen will be forever remembered by her husband and eternal companion Dale, and their four children, as well as all those who knew and loved her. Eileen loved her family both immediate and extended; Early on in their marriage she and Dale took on the responsibility of raising two brothers-in-law as their own.

Eileen is proceeded in death by her Mother Paulina Evans and brother-in-law Shon Leatherow whom she cared for until his passing. She is survived by her husband Dale of 30 years and their four children. Amber (Justin) Chadwick, Kyle (Madison) Leatherow, Logan (Darla) Leatherow and Kegan Leatherow, and by her three Grandchildren Bryson, Timber and Summit with a fourth on the way.

She is also survived by her Father and Stepmother Douglas E. (Raylene) Evans, as well as siblings Teresa (Doug) Brummet, Douglas (Jennifer) Evans, Paul Evans. As well as numerous family members who will love and miss her. The family would like to thank the following for their loving care and support: The medical staff at Intermountain Healthcare, especially Dr. Hansen for his loving care over the past 16 months.

Intermountain Homecare and Hospice for their loving care in her final hours. Josh and Jennifer Leatherow for opening their home where Eileen was able to pass peacefully with Dale by her side. Funeral services for Eileen will be held at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd.

, in Ogden on October 19, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. A viewing will be held at Myers Mortuary on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again Friday October 19, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. Interment will take place at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park in Ogden, UT following the service.
