Robert Wheatley Penman Robert Wheatley Penman, age 93 passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018. He was born December 22, 1924 in West Weber to Henry and Annie Laura Gibson Penman. On March 7, 1959 he married Joyce Sorensen and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake temple October 25, 1963.

He attended West Weber School and graduated from Weber High School. His earliest employment was with Amalgamated Sugar Company, then worked a few years for J.W. Brewer Tire Company and then for about 50 years, he farmed with Max Loock. He was associated with Hooper Irrigation for 31 years as Director, Water Master and was also the President for the last 15 years, retiring in 2005 at the age of 80.

He was a High Priest in the West Weber 3rd Ward and had held many callings. Surviving are his wife, Joyce, three sons and one daughter, Clay R. (Julie) Penman, Von S. (Jana) Penman, Shelley (Leon) Hadley and Mont J. (Jana) Penman. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren and 1 step great, great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Viola Roberts and three brothers, Elmer, Andrew and Melvin Penman. A viewing for family and close friends will be held at the West Weber Stake Center located at 900 South 4100 West in West Weber from 11:00 to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 followed by graveside services at 12:45 at the West Weber Cemetery located at 4590 West 950 North in West Weber. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your church fund or charity of choice.
