Obituary for Guy Pastor Guy Pastor ran into the arms of his adoring sweetheart, on October 1st, 2018. Guy was born on February 15th, 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA to a strong, charismatic woman. Guy grew up in Portview, PA.

He graduated from South Allegheny high school, class of 1971. In his twenties, Guy moved to Newport Beach, CA where he participated in pro mountain-cycling, triathlons, surfing, kayaking, romance, and other extreme sports. Guy’s adventures were intentional, and he experienced them fully.

Having never feared the unknown, he truly lived. While in CA, Guy met his soul mate, Diane Deardon and the couple moved to Ogden, Utah to marry, and start a life together. But, she was taken from Guy quite suddenly, and a piece of Guy died with her.

Guy worked in the Aerodynamics industry in various capacities, and was approaching retirement from Hill Air Force Base, where he worked as an aircraft mechanic. Guy loved playing golf with the boys from the horse. He loved collared shirts with texture, and new shoes.

He loved a well-executed joke and delighted us all with his laughter. Guy loved the weekend, the build up to the weekend, and the ladies. He was a huge supporter of live music, and loved to share good music with friends.

Guy was preceded in death by Otto Markette (stepfather), and Diane Deardon (soul mate). He is survived by Eleanore Markette (mother). Guy was well-known and loved by all in O-town, but his loss will be deeply felt by his family at the Iron Horse, Brewskis, and The City Club.

Having endured a series of serious health complications over the last year, Guy Pastor has taken his final shot of Maker’s Mark. A celebration of life will be held on October 7th, at 2pm at the Iron Horse 3611 Washington Blvd. Cheers to Guy Pastor, a life lived fearlessly!

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, “WoW! What a ride! ” – Hunter S. Thompson 1955 To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Guy Pastor please visit our Sympathy Store.
