Obituary for Carla Mae Borup Johnson Carla Mae Borup Johnson, 82, passed away in Tremonton, UT on November 28, 2018 with her loving Husband at her side. She was born August 2, 1936 in Paul, ID to Carl Stewart and Elizabeth Moss Borup. She married Burton Johnson on June 11, 1957 for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple and they recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary.

She grew up in Boise, ID where she attended Boise Schools where she received her elementary education and graduated from Boise High School and went on to attend BYU. She lived through out Utah and Idaho following Burton and supporting him in his career in the Grocery Business of Carl and Don’s Grocery Store where she worked as a financial clerk. Carla volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Hospital and was a member of The Lions Club along with Burton where they helped further the mission of providing sight to those in need.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in all the auxiliaries of the Church including Relief Society President, Primary Teacher, Cub Scout Leader and Young Women’s Softball Coach. She also served a mission along with Burton at the Brigham City Bishop’s Store House. Her greatest achievement was that of being a Wife, Mother and Grandmother and great grandmother where she loved spending time with her family and supported them in all their endeavors.

She was known for her handiwork and her Porcelain Dolls. Many would come from all over to buy her dolls and learn from her how to make them. She enjoyed making miniatures and porcelain figurines.

She loved a great Softball game and was the ultimate Utah Jazz Fan. She was a kind and loving person with a quick wit and a great sense of humor. She was valiant in her testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and in furthering the Savior’s mission to bring all unto him.

She is survived by her Husband Burton; Children: Leslie Geddes (David), Ron Johnson (Maria), Rock Johnson (Denise, Rand Johnson (Selena), Terry Brown (Rich), Toni Richter (Dean), Rich Johnson (Krista); her adoring 34 Grandchildren and 45 Great Grandchildren and her Sister Myrtle Gallego. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Brothers: Jerry Hamilton Borup, Philip Edward Borup; Daughter-in-law: Kim Johnson and Grandsons: Tucker Johnson and Jarod Arnsten. The family would like to express appreciation to the Doctors and Nursing Staff at the Bear River Clinic and Bear River Valley Hospital and IHC Hospice for the loving care given to Carla.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 345 South 1000 West, Tremonton, UT. Friends may call at the Church Monday, December 3, 2018 from 6:00-8:00p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30-10:30a.m. prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in the Tremonton River View Cemetery.
