Macario Borrego Aguilar, known to friends as “Mac,” passed away on November 24, 2018, at the age of 87 years. A native Texan, Mac was born on March 10, 1931 in Luxello, Texas. On January 26, 1952, he married the love of his life, Benita Roble.

The couple relocated to Utah in 1961, and it was in Ogden, that they made it their home. Mac retired from the Stucki Miller Roofing company after 25 years of managing jobs across the Wasatch Front. He then started his own roofing company and remained self-employed for another 10 years.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Benita, his children; Sara Aguilar Balli, Macario Jr. (Johanna) Aguilar, Nina Aguilar Ruiz, Jimmy (Sally) Aguilar, Rudy Aguilar, Danny (Rita) Aguilar, niece, Yolanda Aguilar Garcia, nephew, Luis Aguilar, 23 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Pauline (Jerry) Martinez. A celebration of Mac’s life will be held on Monday, December 3rd at Myers Mortuary.

845 Washington Blvd. , Ogden, with a Rosary recitation at 6 PM, and visitation with family and friends to follow at 6:30-7:30 PM. Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 4th at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 514 24th street Ogden.
