Larry Eugene Bignell (September 28, 1947-October 5, 2018) Larry was born in Coldwater, Michigan to Kenneth and Mary Jane (Easterday). After high school, he went to Michigan Tech, where he was a DJ for 1 year. His DJ ID song was, “House of the Rising Sun”.

He joined the Air Force on October 5, 1966 in Harrisburg, PA. He later arrived at Hill Air Force base in Clearfield, UT where he met his wife, Eileen (Poulsen). They were married on January 31, 1969 and were later sealed in the Logan temple on April 22, 1970.

While stationed in Germany, he and Eileen had two children, Michael and Sheila, their German souvenirs. After Germany, he was stationed in San Antonio and then Indiana where their sons, John and Craig were born. He eventually retired from the military in 1986 and moved to Corinne, Utah, where they built a home.

He resided there until his death. He worked at Thiokol as a Boiler Operator until his retirement. Larry loved all things Snoopy.

He was obsessed with trains and had built many custom layouts in his lifetime. He loved shows about Alaska, where he had done two tours during his time in the military. He loved to read, especially spy and military fiction.

A favorite pastime was watching Nascar with his son. Larry was the biggest fan of being a Grandfather. He would do anything for his grandchildren, including going camping, watching Barbie/Spongebob movies, visiting the buffalo at Maddox and taking them to “Grandpa’s Toy Store” (aka the DI).

Larry also had a love for doing Family history. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard. He is survived by his wife, Eileen and children Michael, Sheila (Chad) Anderson, John (Amber) and Craig (Sherry).

His grandchildren are Kenzie, Andrew, Steven, Amanda, Brooke, Jackson, Austin, Brandon and Conner. His sister, Joyce Perryman of Wisconsin and Carolyn Bignell of Ohio. His favorite furry companion, Woodstock will miss him as well.

The viewing will be held at Myers Mortuary; 205 S 100 E, Brigham City, Utah on Tuesday, October 9 from 6 to 8 pm. Another viewing will be held at the Corinne LDS Church; 2335 N 4000 W, Corinne, Utah on Wednesday, October 10 from 9:30 to 10:30 am and funeral will begin at 11. Interment will be in the Corinne cemetery.
