Judith Sessions Henrie, 74, passed away October 11, 2018 after a brave 18-month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born to Austin Anson Sessions and Fern Fowels in Ogden, Utah, and attended Ogden High School. She married Garey Victor Henrie on September 30, 1960 and they enjoyed 58 wonderful years together.

Garey was also taken too soon from this world by cancer in 2015, however, throughout his battle Judy provided unwavering care. Following his passing, Judy received her endowments and then later sealed her family together for time and all eternity. Judy is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She loved serving the Young Women and spending time with her 1st Ward Relief Society. She was a beautician for 30 years and later went to work for the IRS for 16 years. Grammie loved taking pictures, scrapbooking, quilting, and canning.

She loved camping at Hoop Lake with her family. She had a great group of “besties” who enjoyed getting together for Tai chi and monthly “lunch bunch”. She loved the holidays and going to restaurants and movies.

Most of all, she loved her grandkids and great-grandkids. She recently started checking things off her bucket list including trips to England and Georgia. Judy was dealt unfair cards later in life as she was preceded in death by her husband Garey, her children (Sherrie, Cindy, Darin) and great-grandson Burton Herrera.

The homecoming in heaven must be quite a party. Throughout it all she kept her family together with her wonderful laughter. She was always the foundation of the family and will be greatly missed.

Judy is survived by 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, siblings, and extended family. A special thanks to Shawn Russell, Todd Lloyd, and Cami Baker for their unconditional support and love. Also, for the loving care from the Huntsman Cancer Institute, the University of Utah, Encompass Home Health, the Paramedics, EMTs and Davis Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the 1st Ward Chapel in Clinton, at 1288 West 1300 North. A viewing will be held 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Myers Mortuary in Roy, at 5865 S 1900 W, and at the Chapel from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday. Send condolence to the family at www.
