Eleanor Genevieve Malensek Turk passed away on January 18, 2019. Eleanor was the 8th child born to Joseph Malensek and Agnes Brajdic Malensek on February 16, 1925. Eleanor was baptized at St. Ann’s church and attended St. Ann’s school.

We will celebrate her life with a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Ann’s Church. On March 1, 1947 Eleanor married Carl R. Turk, and together for 63 years, they built their home and raised their four daughters in St. Ann’s Parish. Carl, as well as her parents, siblings, and two infant grandchildren preceded her in death.

She leaves behind daughters and sons-in-law: Linda Turk Kaveshan (Don), Sandi Turk (Mack Clapp), Lana Turk (Tom Bakjain), and Deanna Turk Shannon (Jon). Her grandchildren: Kyle Campeau (Bonnie Slyce), Kari Campeau, Christy Acker (Dave), Rachel Wolfe-Hauseur (Mark), Julie Fallang, Aidan Shannon, and Sintayehu Shannon. Her great grandchildren: Indigo Campeau, Katie, Thomas and Brooks Acker, Walker Wolfe Jernigan, Eric Horne (Kaitlyn) and Scott Horne.

As well as her great great grandchildren Thomas, Genevieve, and Josephine Horne. Eleanor also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins, both in the USA, Canada, and Europe. Memorials can be made to Butte Food Bank, The Spirit of the Columbia Gardens, Special Olympics Butte, and Butte Central.
