Elizabeth’s Obituary FARIS, Elizabeth “Betty” (Stybert) – of Flint, MI, age 103, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, April 4, 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2500 North Franklin Avenue, Flint, MI 48506; Fr. Carl Simon celebrant.

Interment 2:30 PM Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Meadowview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors 6-8 PM Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Thursday, April 4, 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in Betty’s memory.

Betty was born November 26, 1915 in Mount Carmel, PA, daughter of the late Waelac and Frances (Kaprowska) Stybert. She married Glen R. Faris on September 11, 1937 at All Saints Church in Flint, MI and he preceded her in death on December 18, 1980. Betty retired from AC Sparkplug on May 31, 1966 after more than 30 years of service.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Flint, MI and the Altar Society. Betty loved reading, traveling, visiting casinos and playing Bingo. Betty is survived by 2 children, Walter (Bernadine) Faris and Glenna (Richard) Kelley; 5 grandchildren, Bob (Tammy) Faris, Cathy (Richard) Digard, Doug (Tina) Faris, Timothy (Rachel) Kelley and Karolyn (Larry) Roy; 7 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; very dear friend, Mary Jo Ives; many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen R. Faris; 4 siblings, Anthony (Verna) Stybert, Mary (Robert) Barnes, Stanley Stybert and Gabriella (James) Gibbs.
