Elizabeth “Betty” Shaffer Croom, age 91, of Glenwood, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Des Moines, Iowa on June 28, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Shaffer and Harriett Morris Shaffer. Betty loved walking outside enjoying God’s beauty.

She loved to read her bible, and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Betty was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who also loved to cook and can. Surviving Betty are her three children, Mary Ann Frazier and her husbandMichael of Flat Rock, Russell Lee Croom and his wife Karen of Marion, and John R. Croom and his wife Jessie of Marion; five grandchildren, Shannon, Wade, Paige, Tosha and Michael; and five great-grandchildren, Kyle, Dillion, Thomas, Shelby Rose and McKinzie Rayne.

A private service will be held. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
