Carterville Elizabeth Jean McPheron, 87, of Energy, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Herrin Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018 at Oakwood Cemetery in Carterville, with Pastor Wyatt George officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Herrin American Legion, V.F.W. Posts, and Carterville American Legion.

Elizabeth was born on January 14, 1931 in Carterville, the daughter of Beatrice (Walker) Tanner. She is survived by her sister, Debbie Tanner of Herrin and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice; siblings, Geraldine Hiller, Loralei Tanner, and Tom Tanner.

Elizabeth served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
