Obituary for Elizabeth Long Elizabeth Grace Ferguson Long, 55, a native of Wappingers Falls, NY and resident of Houma, LA, passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 11, 2018. She is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas Long; sons, Dustin Thibodeaux and wife, Mindy, and Troy Long; daughter, Rachel Hebert; parents, William Ferguson Jr. and Laura Hamburger Ferguson; brother, William H. Ferguson, III and wife, Beth; and sister, Laura Susan. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Garren, Daniel, Matthew and Ashley.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold and Laura Hamburger and Grace Oakley McClanahan. Elizabeth enjoyed to travel and spend time with her loved ones. She took great pride in being a mother and grandmother.

Amongst her many distinguished accomplishments, she was a graduate of Lafourche Parish Police Academy and a Montegut volunteer firefighter. She was honored to be the first female on the Terrebonne Parish Hazardous Materials team and a loyal dispatcher at State Police Troop C for many years. Elizabeth was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother and genuine friend.

She will be missed dearly and always remembered for her compassion and selfless actions. Services will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America in memory of Elizabeth.
