Obituary for Norma Simmons Bergeron Norma Simmons Bergeron, 98, a native and resident of Napoleonville, Louisiana born on December 8, 1919, and passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018. A visitation will be held in her honor on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Napoleonville, Louisiana from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am celebrated by Fr. Joseph Vu and Fr.

Gerald Burns. The burial will follow in St. Anne Cemetery, Napoleonville, Louisiana. She is survived by her 3 children, Rodney P. Bergeron, Sr. and wife, Diane Bergeron, Courtney B. Ramsay, and Sandra “Sandy” B. Fussell and husband, Boyd Fussell; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Marlene Cabellero.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lindsey P. Bergerson; parents, Ansil N. Simmons and Cora B. Simmons; 4 brothers, Jewell, Ansil “Buster,” Clyde, and Robert Simmons; and 4 sisters, Edrye Dolese, Lucille Alleman, Margie Simmons, and Billie Toups. Norma was a lifelong parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies’ Altar Society. For 37 years, she worked for Assumption Bank and Trust Company in Napoleonville.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Keith Landry; to her special caregivers, Annie Bowers and Monica Trahan; to the nurses and staff of St. Joseph’s Hospice; and to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.
