Obituary for Ellen Stamberger Ellen R. (nee Fischer) Stamberger, 79, of Mentor, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018, at her residence. Born Jan.

20, 1939, in Germany, she had been a resident of Lake County for the past 57 years. Ellen enjoyed her family and friends. She was the beloved wife of 61 years to Daniel D. Stamberger; loving mother of Jim (Carey) Stamberger; cherished grandmother of Katelyn, Danielle and Heather; great-grandmother of Isaia, Ethan, Adrianna, Lilliana, Gianna and Anthony Jr.; and aunt of nieces and nephews.

Ellen was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon (Chuck) Ledford; parents, Hubert Karl and Elisabeth (nee Biehne) Fischer; brother, Hank (Carole) Fischer; stepfather, C.H. Waelde; and brothers-in-law, Art and David (Cathy) Stamberger. Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
