Ellis L. Embry, age 75 of Maceo, KY died Sunday, July 22, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Fordsville, KY on June 29, 1943, the son of the late Everett Embry and Mildred Dowell Hillard. Ellis was a member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church and enjoyed fishing, golf, playing the guitar and singing.

He was a former employee of National Southwire Aluminum. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Wanda Wedding. Ellis is survived by his wife of 55 years Kathryn Towery Embry of Maceo, KY 3 sons – Todd Embry and his wife Kim of Owensboro, KY Toby Embry of California Stephen Embry of Hardinsburg, KY 1 daughter – Tonya Sue Reynolds of Central City, KY 6 grandchildren: Deanna Carby, Ryan Compton, Kirstie Vanover, Jaymen Embry, Madelyn Embry and Tanner Embry 2 great granddaughters: Haydon and Riley Embry 3 sisters: Norma Jean Bratcher of Fordsville, KY Carolyn and Doris of Tennessee Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 2 PM.

Burial will be in the Horsley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 12 – 2 PM. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to Hosparus.
