Marjorie Lewis Mattingly, age 88 of McQuady, KY died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in McQuady, KY on July 13, 1930, the daughter of the late Charles David and Mae Hinton Lewis. She was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church and Blue Army.

Mrs. Mattingly was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, reading, cross stitch and piecing quilts. She loved her family and looked forward to time spent with them. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Mattingly, sister Janice Roberts and two infant brothers.

Mrs. Mattingly is survived by 4 children: Bonnie Miller and her husband Joe of McQuady, KY Barbara Bates and her husband David of Hardinsburg, KY Marvin Mattingly of Hardinsburg, KY Judy Chandler and her husband Randy of Hermitage, TN 9 grandchildren: Cheri Tivitt (RM), Angie Judd (John), Randy Miller (Melody), Caroline, Casey, Christine and Charlie Mattingly, Andrea Fuqua (Miles) and Megan DeLong (Eric) 11 great grandchildren: Dakota and Morgan Tivitt, Katie, Matthew, Nicholas and Emily Judd, Keagan Adams, Aubrey Miller, Levi, Everly and Elliott DeLong 2 great nephews – Carl Lewis and David Lewis 1 sister-in-law: Lora Mattingly many nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in McQuady, KY on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 10 AM. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, 4-8 PM and Friday, 8 – 9:30 AM.
