Obituary for Elmer H. Henise, Jr. Elmer H. Henise, Jr., 89, formerly of Cleona, died on December 20, 2018 at Spangcrest Manor, Lebanon. He was the husband of the late Erlene (Forry) Henise, who passed away in 2016. Born in York, PA on October 7, 1929, he was the son of the late Elmer H. Henise, Sr., and the late Florence (Brenneman) Henise.

He was retired from Met-Ed where he worked in the meter department, and as an industrial and commercial sales representative. He also was sales manager for 20 years with Henise Tire Service, Inc., Cleona and the owner of C&H Electric, Cleona. He retired from the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as a Major.

He was a 1947 graduate of Lebanon High School. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lebanon, the Lebanon County Electrical Association, member and past president of the Cleona Lions Club and past District Governor of District 14D, member and past president of the Lebanon County Industrial Development Corp. , member and past president of the Cleona Jaycees, and a former Scout Master.

Elmer was member and past president of Cleona Boro Council and a charter member of the Cleona Sewer Authority. He is survived by sister in law, Irene Henise, and brother in law Fritz Forry and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Frank B. “Butch” Henise and a sister Sara Jane Gross.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 27, 2018 at 10:30AM from Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc, 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. A viewing will be held from 10:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
