Elnor Faye Polhemus, age 82, of Adrian, MI, passed away May 4, 2018, at Hospice of Lenawee. She was born October 5, 1935, in Hackleburg, AL, the daughter of Kim & Odell (Boyett) Bickerstaff. On May 24, 1957, she married Peter Polhemus, he preceded her in death.

Faye loved working at Miller’s Family Restaurant where she worked for over 35 years. She loved playing bingo and going to the casinos. There was nothing that she loved more than spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Michael Polhemus, Brenda (Bruce) Helf, Jeannette Stersic and Michelle Polhemus, his grandchildren, Nathaniel Helf, Robert Seymore, Ryan Seymore, Carli Stersic and Delaney Stersic, five great grandchildren, one sister, Lavada Case and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death, Peter Polhemus, four brothers, A. C. Bickerstaff, John Bickerstaff, Frank Bickerstaff and Kenny Bickerstaff, two sisters, Marie Holder and Reba Counts and two grandchildren in infancy. A Viewing & Visitation will be on May 12, 2018, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI.
