Obituary for Elton Crotwell Davis Elton Crotwell Davis, 103, of Laurel and New Orleans went to be with her heavenly father on Monday, October 1, 2018. She was born October 31, 1914. Services will be Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Antioch Methodist Church.

Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. and funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be at the church cemetery. Rev. Willis Cochran will officiate and Janice Ward will provide the music.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Crotwell and Ruby Hester Callahan; husband, William Earnest Davis Jr.; brother, Ray Crotwell; daughter, Charlene Elton Billiot; and granddaughter, Donna Gayle Toom. Survivors include daughter, Linda Gayle Smith (Ted); grandson, David Brian Smith; granddaughter, Sharon Welch (Ken); and great grandchildren, Bradley Welch, Amanda Welch, Christerfer Lambert, and Alexia Philmon. Elton raised her family in New Orleans.

She became a Christian in the 1958 Billy Graham Crusade. She was an Eastern Star member. She and her husband raised chickens for Sanderson Farm.
