Emory’s Obituary Emory Scott Ballard, age 49, of Arcadia, FL, passed away suddenly in his home, Saturday, February 16, 2019 in Arcadia, FL. Scott was born April 18, 1969 in Arcadia, FL to Mrs. Willimae Myers Ballard and Mr. Emory Allan Ballard from Myakka City, FL. Scott is survived by his wife, Nancy Ballard, mother-in-law Virginia Stankard of Arcadia, FL, eight daughters, Rebecca Spradley, Evansville, IN, Harley Ballard, Arcadia, FL, Savannah Ballard, Arcadia, FL, Connie (Juan) Lopez, North Port, FL, Jessica (Calvin) Holder, Arcadia, FL, Anna (TL) Nelson, High Point, NC, Kelli (Cody) Wallace, Lake Placid, FL, Halley Allen, Arcadia, FL, , two sons, Leo Connell, Brandon, FL, Alan (Megan) Collins, Arcadia, FL, mother-in-law, Virginia Stanko, Arcadia, FL, nineteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren and twelve nieces and nephews, four sisters, Terri (Jim) Haskins, of Lake Placid, FL, Sharon (Harel) Carson, Arcadia, FL, Shirley (Al) Reigle of Myakka City, FL, Patricia (John) Lingo, of Bradenton, FL, two brothers; Clinton Ballard and Dillard “Denny” Ballard of Sanford, FL, a sister-n-law, Diana Ballard of Myakka City, FL.

Scott was preceded in death by one brother, Randy (Diana) Ballard, one brother-in-law Harel Carson and one sister-in-law Lisa (Denny) Ballard. Scott was a wonderful loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed. He was a social butterfly who touched many lives.

Scott never met a stranger nor enemy. To Scott, everyone he met was an”Old friend”, who he thoroughly enjoyed talking to for hours on end. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved his time outdoors.

He was a valued member of the community who was always happy to lend a helping hand. In honor of Scott, a visitation of family and friends will be conducted from 1:00pm until 3:00pm, Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019 from the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, FL.

Funeral services will follow at 3:00PM from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jerry Atkins officiating. All family and friends are invited to help in celebrating Scott’s life and all the ways he our lives better being in them.
