Ernest “Bill” William Brooks, 73, of Tell City, Indiana, passed away due to a long-time illness on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at his home. Bill was born in Vanderburgh County, Indiana on December 5, 1944 to the late Walter T. and Helen (Stewart) Embry Brooks. He worked in the iron ore mines for over 10 years in Michigan and later worked as a self-employed contractor.

He was an antique car enthusiast and enjoyed collecting Diecast cars. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Dorothy Grigsby.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. , Evansville, IN 47711. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
