Obituary for Ernest Martin Stuart Ernest Martin Stuart, 73, of Roscommon, MI passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Joanne’s House at Hope Hospice. He was a winter resident of Estero, FL since 2010. Ernie was born November 4, 1945 in Owosso, MI a son of the late Charles and Elsie (Jones) Stuart.

Mr. Stuart’s career working as an engineer with General Motors from 1965 – 2002. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ernie was a member of the Moose Club as well as the Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 12 years, Marilyn (Newport) Stuart; loving daughters, Heather (Jamie) Wood and Casey of Midland, MI, Michelle (Tom) Barbret of Sheridan, WY; sons, Shawn (Laura) Truhett and Cole of Au Gres, MI, Brian (Kristen) Truhett and Justen and Zachary of Otisville, MI; step-daughters Lori (Jon) Urick and Kaitlyn, Wesley and Thomas of Glen Ellyn, IL; Michelle (Jason) Maraskine of Midland, MI. In addition to his parents, Ernie was preceded in death by his brother, William “Bill” Stuart. There will be a memorial service in early summer at Messiah Lutheran Church in Roscommon, MI.
