Obituary for Ernestine Marie Bernier Ernestine Marie Bernier, 91, of Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, she is the daughter of the late Eugene and Lucita Turbe Greaux. In addition to her parents, Ernestine is preceded in death by her son, Dale Anthony Bernier.
As a teacher and natural caregiver, Ernestine was very sweet but also firm when she needed to be. If you came to her house, you would not leave hungry. Those left to cherish Ernestine’s memory include: her husband of 72 years, Anthony Bernier; daughter, Anne C. Witt; granddaughters, Elizabeth Marie Bernier and Rachel Marie Witt; grandson, Nathan Witt; great-grandsons, Brennan A. Ryan and Calum P. Ryan; great-granddaughters, Emma J. Willis and Aimee N. Willis.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018, at Tetrick Funeral and Cremation Services, Johnson City, TN. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon with the funeral following at 1:00 pm. The burial will be held at 2:30 pm at Washington County Memory Gardens.
