Obituary for James “Jim” Allen Pugh Jr. James “Jim” Allen Pugh, Jr., 60, of Johnson City, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Washington County, he is the son of Retha (Jones) Pugh, and the late James Pugh, Sr. In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Elmer Arnett. Jim was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

He loved the Lord and his family. He worked more than twenty-four years in printing with Quebecor and Mazer. For the last nine years, he worked with Clinical Management Concepts as a Delivery Driver.

Jim loved classic cars and going fishing, and supported his son, Evan in Boy Scouts Troop #37. In addition to his mother, those left to cherish Jim’s memory include: wife of 18 years, Ava, of the home; sons, Derrek Pugh of Charlotte, NC and Evan Pugh of the home; brother, Randy Pugh; sisters-in-law, Tracie Pierson (Devin), Carrie Barker, and Amy Stout; nephews, Jamin Phipps and Hayden Barker; and mother-in-law, Rebecca Sams (Roscoe). The family will gather to receive friends at Southside Baptist Church, Johnson City on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 6:00 PM until a memorial service beginning at 7:00 PM with Pastor William Lunsford officiating.
