Obituary for Margaret Ann Denton Margaret Ann Denton, 57, of Johnson City, went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 22, 2018 at NHC Healthcare in Johnson City after a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Johnson City, she is the daughter of Joann Stanley and the late Norman Stanley. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Denton.

Maggie was a beloved sister and devoted friend, a generous person, and an awesome aunt. She enjoyed reading and was very generous and giving. She worked for the Johnson City Medical Center for thirty-six years, attended Fairhaven Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN, and enjoyed reading in her spare time.

In addition to her mother, those left to cherish Maggie’s memory include: siblings, Bill Stanley, Lisa Ginley (Jimbo), and Chad Barr (Rebekah); step-children, Amanda Wagner (David) of Braselton, GA, Ben Denton (Hayley) of Knoxville, TN, and Matt Denton (Tiffany) of La Vergne, TN; eight step-grandchildren; and special niece, Hannah Ginley. The family would like to extend a special thank you to special friends Bryan and Cindy Taylor, and to the staff of NHC Healthcare. The family will gather to receive friends at Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City, on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 6:00 PM until a celebration of Maggie’s Life beginning at 8:00 PM with Rev.
