Obituary for Ernesto Fuentes Ernesto Fuentes, 50, died Saturday April 7, 2018 at his residence in Garden City, KS. He was born on February 25, 1968 to Carlos Fuentes & Flora Sanjuan Martinez in Hidalgo, Mexico. Ernesto was born in and attended school in Mexico.

He came to Garden City in 1985. On April 4, 1999 he married Francisca Martinez. She survives.

Most recently he had worked as a truck driver for Huber Sand. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his Father- Carlos Fuentes; Sister-Josefina Fuentes Sanjuan and Brother-Ricardo Fuentes Sanjuan.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his Children-Esmeralda, Alma Delia & Jesse Fuentes of the home, Ernesto Fuentes Jr. of Dallas Texas, & Anayeli Fuentes of Mexico; 3 Grandchildren-Anthony, Nataly & Julianna Fuentes; Siblings-Mario Fuentes of Garden City, Norma Fuentes of Dallas, Texas, Max Fuentes of Dallas, Texas, Inez Fuentes of Mexico, Pablo Fuentes of Ark City, Kansas & Anastacia Fuentes of Mexico, and Mother- Flora Sanjuan Martinez of Mexico A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday April 11, 2018 at Templo Emmanuel Asamblea de Dios, 1311 New York Ave, Garden City Kansas. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday April 12, 2018 at Templo Emmanuel Asamblea De Dios, with Pastor Fidel Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.

Visitation will start Wednesday April 11, 2018 from 10:00 am to Vigil Service time, also at the Templo Emmanuel Asamblea de Dios Memorials are suggested to the Ernesto Fuentes. Memorial Fund in Care of the funeral home. Condolences may be given at garnandfuneralhomes.com The family requests friends and family wear a light or medium blue color of clothing and not the traditional black colors.
