Obituary for Paul Gray Garden City- Paul E. Gray, 92, died on Friday, June 1, 2018 at The Cottages Senior Living in Garden City. He was born on April 5, 1926 at Meade the son of Paul E. & Vera (Pullman) Gray, Sr He married Jean Smith on December 23, 1950 at Pratt.

Paul graduated from Pratt High School in 1944. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. After his discharge he returned to Pratt and attended Pratt Junior College where he was on the football team.

He then went to work for the Kansas Department of Transportation in Pratt and was transferred to Garden City in 1966. He was with KDOT for 44 years and retired as a Superintendent. He was a member of Bible Christian Church of Garden City, Harry H. Renick American Post # 9 and a Life Member of the Elks Lodge.

He enjoyed his yard work, gardening, his family activities and watching football and NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his Parents, infant Son & 2 Sisters- Madalane Whaley & Beverly Mease. He is survived by his Wife- Jean Gray of the Home, 3 Daughters- Paula Dies of Lehigh, Patricia Stubbs & Gail Moore of Garden City, Son- Douglas Gray of Miami, Florida, Sister- Carolyn McDaniel of Holt Summit, Missouri, 6 Grandchildren & 6 Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Bates officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Garden City with Military Honors by Kansas Army National Guard Honor Guard and American Legion District 8 Honor Guard.

Friends may call from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday at Garnand Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Talking Books or St Catherine Hospice in care of Garnand Funeral Home. Condolences may be posted at www.
