Obituary for Frances Koehn Frances L. Koehn, age 90, of Montezuma, Kansas, died Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Bethel Home in Montezuma. She was born March 27, 1928, in Montezuma, Kansas, the daughter of Pete and Fannie (Koehn) Harms. Frances attended Rock Island School.

She married Vernon J. Koehn on June 24, 1945, at the Rock Island School in Grant County. When she wasn’t farming with her husband, Frances enjoyed quilting, embroidering, and making hook rugs. She is survived by her children, Rodney Koehn and wife Ruth Ann of Ulysses, Kansas, Janice Dirks and husband Jay of Moscow, Idaho, Bill Koehn and wife Gloria of Ulysses, Kansas, Robert Koehn and wife Debra of Ulysses, Kansas, and Betty Dirks and husband Les of Potlatch, Idaho; brother, Eugene Harms of Mount Vernon, Idaho; sister, Letha Koehn of Montezuma, Kansas; 13 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon in 2006; and granddaughter, Tracey. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Grant Mennonite Church in rural Grant County with Minister Denton Koehn and Minister Stuart Jantzen officiating. Interment will follow at Grant Mennonite Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday, June 15, 2018, from 10:00 AM until 2:30 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be given to Bethel Home in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
