Obituary for Ernesto Munoz “Neto” Flores (Flores) Ernesto M. Flores, better known as “Neto” was 82 years old when he passed away on Wednesday, November 7th, 2018 in Las Cruces, NM. He was born in Fabens, TX on October 18th, 1936 to Arturo and Luz Flores. Neto was a proud Korean Veteran and prided himself as a successful Fast-Pitch Softball pitcher for 57 years.

He pitched with Old Timers Softball League in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado. His hobbies included working around the house, building various things outside and tearing them apart and starting all over again, chatting with the neighbors and playing with his favorite grand dog Tiger. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carrie Flores and his children Erica Flores, Veronica Salas, Ernesto Flores Jr, Rachel Funes and nephew Ronald Torres.

Also surviving him are many grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. His brothers and sisters include Arthur Flores, Malou and Frank Telles, Angie Kitten, Anita Flores, Ofelia Arellano, and Chito Flores, Brothers/Sisters-in-laws include Eddie and Marti Torres, Ray and Julie Holguin, and Dorothy Arguello. A gathering of friends and family will begin at 9:00AM on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in the Getz Funeral Home Chapel.

A Rosary and Memorial Service will follow at 10:00AM. The family will have a gathering after at Beverly Hills Hall. Arrangements by Getz Funeral Home, corner of Solano and Bowman Ave.
