Obituary for Esther “Essie” E. Waller Esther E. (Essie) Waller, 1703 South Arthur, Grand Island, Nebraska died January 8, 2019. Funeral services will be 11:00 am with visitation one hour before in the Gollaher Chapel at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Reverend Kelly Karges officiating. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Mrs. Waller was born on June 7, 1923 in Hastings, Nebraska, the daughter of Archie and Martha (Kenyon) Murrish.

She was educated in North Platte, Nebraska, graduating in 1940 and then attended the University of Nebraska. While living in Omaha she worked as a medical technologist. She was united in marriage to Tannies Waller on September 8, 1951, in Omaha, Nebraska.

The couple lived in Grand Island since 1951. Mr. Waller died on August 11, 1999. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Church Women United.

She also belonged to Andrew Chapter #41, OES and the E-Z-Duz-It Club. In addition, she volunteered for many years at Howard School. Survivors include: 1 son, Gary Waller and wife, Barb of Omaha; grandson, David, granddaughter, Laura Weander (Nick) and great granddaughter Aveya.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, step-father, Ray Hennis, brother Archie J Murrish and step-brother Wesley Hennis. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Esther “Essie” E. Waller please visit our Sympathy Store.
