Mrs. Ethel Mae Parker Miller, 77, wife of the late Otto Frank Miller, died Saturday, May 19, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House after an illness. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 21, 2018, at Hebron United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. at the church prior to funeral service.

Mrs. Miller was born February 1, 1941, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late Carlton Parker and Mable Olivia Coker Parker. She was a graduate of Lake City High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Winthrop University. Mrs. Miller retired from the U.S. Department of Labor as Branch Chief after twenty years of service.

She was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church where she taught the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class. Mrs. Miller had a very inquisitive mind and loved to learn. She was very proud of her family and her State.

Surviving is her son, Otto Mark Miller of Florence; grandchildren, Charles Miller, Omar Sultany Miller and Iman Sultany Miller; siblings, Don (Juanita) Parker, Carlton (Jean) Parker, Jr., Annette Spring, Judy Olivia Parker, Bobby Parker, William (Audrey) Parker, Lloyd Dallas Parker, Alexander (Carrie) Parker, Connie Mathis (Dennis) Hadaway, and Tammy (John) Robinson. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Carlton Miller. Memorials may be made to Hebron United Methodist Church, 2273 Hebron Road, Cades, SC 29518.
