Smith, 86, of Moline, IL, passed away at her home with family at her side, on Saturday, January 19, 2019. Private services will be held, with burial in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery in Rock Island, IL. Eva was born in Canada on November 19, 1932, daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Snake) Noah.

On January 7, 1955, she married Andrew Smith, who preceded her in death on May 24, 1999. She was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship, and enjoyed playing pool in her younger days, going out to eat, reading, her pets, and she especially loved her family. Survivors include her daughters, Doreen Jacobs of Ontario, Canada, Sherri Cole of Moline, Tara (Dan) Hoyt of Barstow, IL, and Cathy (Tom) Dreifurst of Lynn Center, IL; her son, Loren Jacobs of Ontario, Canada; 22 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat, “Abbey”.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Glen Jacobs and Randy Jacobs, her sister, Linda Tobias, and son-in-law, Lyle Cole. The family wishes to thank Unity Point Hospice and Tina for the great care extended to Eva.
