Evelyn’s Obituary Evelyn E Meeker, 90, of Surfside Beach SC died Feb 2, 2019 at Hope Arbor Assisted Living in Murrells Inlet, SC. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and graduated from Simon Gratz High School. Evelyn was the daughter of James Prior and Alberta Wharton Prior.

She was predeceased by her husband Bob Meeker, two brothers James Prior and Joseph Prior and two sons Robert Uhl and Raymond Uhl. She is survived by two sons Thomas Uhl of Surfside Beach, SC and Kevin Uhl and his wife Kathleen of Beacon Falls, CT, 6 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several brother-in laws, sister-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Evelyn worked as a secretary most of her life.

She retired from the Aquarian Water Company in Bridgeport, CT then moved to South Carolina where she and her husband Bob enjoyed many good years together. Evelyn loved visits from her family and friends. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, doing crossword puzzles and walking on the beach.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of life luncheon in honor of Evelyn on April 14th, 2019 at 11am at Jesse Camille’s Restaurant 615 N Church Street Naugatuck, CT 06770.
