John’s Obituary John (Jack) W. Kovalcik, 81, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Pequannock, NJ, joined his wife, Judy, in heaven on May 17, 2019. John was a graduate of Clifton High School and the Stevens Institute of Technology. He was an electrician with I.B.E.W.

Local 102 for many years. John was an active member with the Pequannock Township Football Fathers and the Knights of Columbus. He proudly served in the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps.

John was a member of the United States Marine Corps League serving in many capacities. It was his honor to have served as the Commandant. John worked tirelessly growing The Marine Toys for Tots Program so those less fortunate could share in the magic of the holidays.

John is predeceased by his loving, wife, Judy, and survived by his daughter Karen, his son Kenneth and five grandchildren Calum, lan, Cameron, Lindsay and Jennifer. John’s final resting place will be beside his wife at the Beaufort National Cemetery. Donations to The Marine Toys for Tots program would be welcomed.
