Everette McIntosh, age 74, of Nebo went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 while at his home. He was born on August 10, 1944 in Yancey County to the late Lattie C. McIntosh and Pearl Randolph McIntosh. Everette was a former member of Trinity Hill Freewill Baptist church, and served his Country honorably in the United States Army.

He had a passion for hunting and fishing. Everette was a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, and his family will miss him deeply. His loving wife of 47 years Doris Gail Hall McIntosh; and his dear daughter-in-law Lori Ann Wilson McIntosh preceded him in passing.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving children, James E. McIntosh of Nebo, Michelle Lewis and husband Jody of Morganton, and Christopher David McIntosh of Asheville; one sister Creola Fox of Marion, and a brother L.C. McIntosh of Marion; five Grandchildren, Tosha Lewis of Hickory, Nikki Lewis of Fort Drum, NY, J.J. McIntosh of Nebo, Keenan Clay and wife Jolene of Morganton, Melissa Troutman and husband Brian of Marion; five Great Grandchildren, Myricc, Jeremiah, and Aundrey of Hickory, and Andrew and Ashley of Marion. The family will receive friends in the chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home in Marion on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow the visitation in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Rev Jerry McClain and Rev Bill Mitchell officiating Burial will follow the service at McDowell Memorial Park cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society at PO Box 896076, Charlotte, NC 28289-6076.
